Valentines Themed Shoot

Day Overview

So me being me and my full neurodivergent ADHD self, decided on Monday, I was going to host a Valentines Themed shoot THAT SUNDAY.
Luckily, I have some incredible friends who were happy to help me with making me valentines themes come to life. And again… me being me, of course I didn’t make it easy for myself and just choose one shoot style, oh no no no… I chose three!

Nyavka really pulled out all the cards with her incredible makeup skills to create this love sick nymph look which I am still not over!!!
Miss Tee bought along the other love of her life Djungelskog who ended the day wearing the sexiest lingerie.
Maenad REIGNED in the ‘bloody st Valentines’ theme and the final images are something dreams (and nightmares) are made of.

I then wrapped up the day with some pole versions of each shoot style which went so well that I will 100% be revisiting these themed shoot styles in the near future.

This shoot took place at the studio I use for most of my photoshoots, the lovely, Spin City Studio.
Just off the side of Bristol docs, Spin City has classes such as pole, aerial, burlesque and ballet!
Please check them out and support them here!

A Photographers Rambles

Firstly, I am so incredibly lucky and grateful that I have such wonderful people in my life who support me and my small business and will happily spend a day with me playing around with new concepts and having a laugh (while also getting some super slay pictures if I do say so myself).

On top of that, Spin City studio has been so incredibly supportive of my small business since day one, allowing me to use their studio to learn, work and have fun. I will truly be so thankful for their support forever.

So… this was really my first proper themed shoot (aside from the Halloween shoot I did with Miss Tee last year) and it turned out so well! To the point where I know I will be offering these themes again in near future (keep your eyes peeled, there might be something exciting happening in April) and will 100% open up more slots for next Valentines day.
It has fuelled something inside of me to keep creative shoot ideas for more events/ holidays! I have so many fun ideas that have been brewing in my brain for some time now, and this year I’ve found a weird sense of motivation to bring them all to life! (Please hold me accountable to this).

I used a mix of my two go to lenses, my 50mm (for crisp portraits) and my 24-70mm (for wider shots) and of course used a very stable ladder (I did not feel stable, this was very scary but I survived) to get some over head, bed of roses, shots.

Thanks for reading and I’ll catch you in the next one!
